2. Principle

We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We collect only the data we need to run this website and to rent out our rooms, and we do not pass it on for advertising purposes.

3. Visiting the website (server logs)

When you visit this website our hosting provider (Metanet AG, Switzerland) automatically records technical details in log files: IP address, date and time, the address requested, the volume of data transferred, browser type and operating system and the page previously visited. This data serves the secure and stable operation of the website and is deleted after a short period. We do not link it to any particular person.

4. Contact form and chatbot (Formaloo)

We use the Formaloo service (Formaloo B.V., Netherlands) for our contact form and for the chat assistant in the bottom right corner. When you complete the form or use the chat, the details you enter – such as your name, phone number, email address and message – together with technical connection data are transmitted to Formaloo and stored there on our behalf. We use these details solely to answer your enquiry and to prepare a rental offer.

The form and the chatbot are loaded from Formaloo's servers, which means your IP address is transmitted to Formaloo. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in straightforward contact, respectively the handling of your enquiry. If you would rather avoid this transfer, you can always reach us by phone on +41 41 589 51 41.

5. Occupancy plan

The occupancy plan on the home page is loaded through a service provided by shrew.ch, which means your IP address is transmitted to its server. The plan shows only occupied and free time slots; no personal details of tenants are displayed.

6. Map (Google Maps)

On the “Location” page you can display a Google Maps map. The map is not loaded automatically: as long as you do not click “Load map”, no request is sent to Google. Only on that click does your browser connect to Google, transmitting among other things your IP address. The click counts as your consent. If you prefer not to load the map, the address and directions are given as text on the same page.

7. Videos (YouTube)

Some pages embed videos from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited). We use the extended privacy mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Only when you start a video does your browser connect to Google's servers, transmitting among other things your IP address. If you are logged in to Google at the same time, Google may link the request to your account. We have no influence over this processing.

8. Fonts (Google Fonts)

The fonts used on this website are loaded from Google Fonts, which transmits your IP address to Google. No cookies are set in the process.

9. Cookies and statistics

We do not set any cookies of our own for advertising or audience measurement and we do not use analytics services such as Google Analytics. The embedded services (Formaloo, YouTube) may set their own cookies when you use them. You can delete or block cookies in your browser at any time.

10. Disclosure of data

We pass on your data only where this is necessary to provide our service (for example to our hosting provider or to Formaloo), where you have consented, or where we are required to do so by law. We do not sell data.

11. Retention

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your request and any follow-up questions. Data from a rental relationship that has come into effect is kept for the statutory retention periods (as a rule ten years).

12. Your rights

You have the right to information about the personal data we process, and to have it corrected, deleted or its processing restricted. You may also object to the processing and request your data in a common format. Please get in touch through our contact form. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

13. Security

This website is transmitted in encrypted form (HTTPS). We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised access. Complete security cannot, however, be guaranteed for transmission over the internet.

14. Changes

We may amend this privacy policy at any time. The version published on this page applies.
